Well I’m going to cut the suspense and show you the single moment of happiness for my day. Although we caught many Largemouth Bass at Marsh Creek today there was one special fish that (at least for a little while) will hold a special place in my heart.

Matt's Functioning Fishaholics Record Largemouth Bass

Matt's 20" Largemouth

The previous Functioning Fishaholics record Largemouth Bass was 18″ and was set by Jeff last year.  This 20″ Largemouth Bass from Marsh Creek is my new addition to the Functioning Fishaholics record book.  This fish is easily the largest one I’ve caught this year and is a great size for Southeastern PA.

This Largemouth Bass was caught on a 6″ Rapala original floater.

Just think of what I could do with them hillbilly fish! Or is the proper term “dixie?”… Need to make sure I’m politically correct here! (:

  • Very nice fish and good job. Once you get north of a certain point that’s an excellent bass. Here in Northern Michigan our smallies our bigger than our largemouth.
