In the world are hundreds of species of basses. Between them some are black, temperate or sea variants. Fisher commonly call popular as largemouth, smallmouth, stripers or white bass.

Actually there exist more than 20 different species of that fish. Even some from them does not call fully „bass“.

Different Bass and How to Tell Them

Black bass does not answer truly to that group. It belongs to the genus Micropterus. According to various opinions, there are between 10 and 12 species.
